The Paint Place's owner and manager, Laura Tammisto, has been in the painting, fine finishing, staining, and retailing business since 1986. "I started out as a new construction and remodeling painter, "Laura said, "and soon went back to school for faux finishing, which gave me valuable experience in the painting industry. I attended various fine finishing schools, so I could provide my clients the exact look they wanted. I have taught classes on faux finishes. I've also worked with specialty trades people and learned many staining and lacquering techniques. By applying these techniques, I can match your new or old stains on any project. "I enjoy working with people and seeing their excitement when they transform their home into a work of art just by adding a new color or finish. I especially enjoy having people bring in pictures of their completed paint projects and hearing how the new colors make them feel."
